Rumford, Maine

Twin Energy Wind Project

Our Twin Energy project comprised of three wind turbines is located on South Twin Mountain in Rumford. This project helps provide 18.3 MW of clean energy to the Northeast, enough to power 7,850 New England homes.

To fulfill Maine's commitment to achieve 100% clean energy by 2040, it will require continued investment in clean, American-made energy.

Community
Benefits

An Economic Driver

Wind energy can be a powerful economic driver for its host communities, creating jobs in construction, maintenance and operations while generating additional revenue through landowner payments and taxes. By hosting wind energy, the county can attract new industry and infrastructure development, stimulating the local economy.

Decommissioning and Restoring the Site

After operation, project site will be restored and available for future use as the landowner sees fit.

A dedicated decommissioning plan is in place to ensure restoration of the land, and responsible recycling and disposal of materials.

Funds have been posted to cover any eventual decommissioning costs.
